My local Target has a soda machine (you know the kind where you press the button and out comes soda into your cup). They have Cherry Coke as one of them but it just says Cherry Coke, like regular ol' Cherry Coke. When I dispense it, it tastes awful... and it's definately diet cherry coke. I think diet sodas are disgusting. I even asked the employee and he said yeah it was diet.

Isn't this illegal? Aren't there people who are allergic to diet sodas because of the artificial sweetener?

I don't know if it's illegal in all areas but I know it is here and yes, some people are very allergic to artificial sweeteners. That establishment can get in a lot of trouble if someone gets sick from their drinks.

Well is "false advertisement" and you can ask for your money back or complain to your local Business Bureau so they can give them a fine.

Many soda machine operators do that too; they stack the machine and when they ran out of one soda they put whatever they have just to get your money even if you don't like the other soda.

Yes as is an illegal busisness practice. No one is going to jail but they will get a fine and force to label properly what's inside the machine; if someone is allergic to diet soda and get sick they could get in a lot of legal troubles.

In your case the most you can get is your money back.
