People text in to news shows regarding complex political issues or other problems in the world. If the problem was as easy to fix as sending a text to someone dont they think it would have been sorted by now? I get those that send in opinions but not those that pose solutions to complex issues they know little about

Yeah, I agree with you, its better if they are actually interviewing the Prime Minister for example. The some texted in questions actually get asked. But Tony Blair just answers with something very close to nonsense, but with some lovely political words.
It's waste of money to text in really.

Just to pass time similar to this type of format. Give them something to do. Not that anyone reads the text, or even some of these messages. But, it passes the time. A harmless hobby.

It makes them feel empowered. When you grow up on texting you lack the abililty to communicate effectively with out it.

people text into news shows because they are addicts!!!
News shows are not run on opinions,....they are run by the system. they wanna brainwash you all!! they show you news they wanna show you.
They dont want you to text for your opinion, they just wanna charge you!!
they need more money to support the national brainwash fund.
dont EVER accept something because it seems like the right thing to do!
be urself and stand ur ground.
