Why the television series "Jericho" realistic?

I think the reason why the television "Jericho" was not popular because it was not realistic. I think that if it had elements of the movie "Threads" in the show it would have had another season. This was watered downed reality of nuclear war.

What I mean by realistic is the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust. Their would be not functioning cars because the EMP from the explosions would make them not functional and fuel would be scarce, Secondary, the fallout from the explosions from surrounding cities would contaminate the town.

the scenario was something that frightened people during the cold war, but the reason why the show didn't get enough ratings isn't about the shows quality, maybe it had competition with other shows like Lost or Prison Break. Jericho was a pretty good show, it started out really slow, but as the show progressed it became more and more interesting.

Jericho was canceled for who knows what reason, but it definitely wasn't because it wasn't realistic.

This is where it hurts the most. I don't think CBS has a clue just how huge the fan base of Jericho is. CBS has done some really stupid things lately and this is the worst. Stop watching CBS. Put a parental block on your TV specifically blocking out CBS. Boycott their advertisers and do not buy or support any of their products! Jericho Lives has an extensive list of advertisers to boycott.

Networks cannot continuously do this us and think there will be no backlash. Frankly, I'm sick of it and you should be too. Do CBS execs have any clue what's hot and what's not on TV these days? I don't think so.

The new reality show "Kid Nation", which will replace Jericho, is set in an abandoned town of New Mexico and 40 children are set loose to create a society of their own without adult supervision (psst CBS, that's already been done virtually, ie; World of Warcraft - kidding Blizz!). Seriously though.. WHAT?! That's not something Jericho fans would be interested in. That's not something ANY normal person would interested in. That sounds pretty child exploitive/abusive to me. Somebody at CBS needs to be fired!

Jericho has many fans. CBS announced yesterday that the show has been cancelled. There is a petition on line to try to get CBS to change their mind. There are 24,452 signatures so far. The fans are even trying to get other networks to carry the show. www.jericholives.com has phone numbers and addresses to contact. There is a message board for Jericho at cbs.com.

The reason for sending nuts to CBS is not because they are nuts, it is the last thing Jake said to Constantino from New Bern. It was something that Jake's grandfather said about the war he was in.
