RUSH without a doubt. They have been around for over thirty years and are looked up to by anyone playing an instrument for nearly as long. They are still around after all this time, just put out a new album, and are going on tour this summer again. These guys are model members for any band members. I would love to see more bands act like these guys and make music for the right reasons.

Wilco
greatest american rock band in a long time.
The National
You can hear all of their latest on Myspace
The Kooks
great rock and roll is at it's best in england, at the moment
The Libertines (broke up a few years back, so technically not current)
My Chemical Romance is better than they get credit for, they write socially relevant lyrics (Teenager for one is up there with The Who's Can't Explain) and grand pop drama
The Strokes are kind of boring.
Interpol? Are you kidding me? They're a ******* Joy Division cover band.
