Definitely. Marriage is a lifetime commitment (well, it supposed to be anyways, I know it doesn't always work that way), so I say go for it! If I could afford it without driving myself into bankruptcy, I would definitely make it extravagant. I went a little over the top for my son's first birthday, but my thoughts were, "He'll only turn 1 once". Now that I think about it, it was a little silly, because he's not going to remember any of it, but it made for some nice pictures in the photo album, and all the other kids had a really good time. So it was well worth it.

There are so many sites on the web to help you plan a wedding, it seems ridiculous to spend a fortune paying someone else to do it for you. If you have any kind of talent at all, you can cut the cost way down. Believe me when I say, you are the only one who remembers the details of your wedding.

If money hadn't of been an issue I would have had an extravagant wedding. My wedding was beautiful, but it wasn't nearly as "luxurious" as I wanted it to be. I did well with what I had, but I would have loved to have gotten a lot more.

I would rather have a small, intimate wedding, than to spend all that money for a huge to do.....
