I sincerely do believe that woman has the right to choose the topic of conversation at dinner time provided it doesn't bother the husband because if it does then the husband will not pay attention to his wife and just ignore her throughout the dinner until the tpic is closed.

What does that mean? I'm not sure if I understand the question, but I think it should be a give and take. Women should certainly have the right some of the time, just as men have the right to choose it the other part of the time. Either way, it would be a really awkward conversation if either one were "choosing" rather than steering a conversation to a topic.

hahahahahahahahahaha!!! Is that even a question. I didn't know there way anyone else TO start the conversation. If I didn't start a conversation at dinner than we'd alll...well, we'd all eat. And what is dinner for these days?? eating?? NO! It's for dishing on all the dirt that goes on every day. Seriously, does it really matter who chooses the topic of conversation? Like, is that some priviledge that must be delegated in your house?

Anyone, be they man or woman, if they have a subject to discuss at the dinner table, can choose the topic.

I think it should be mutual to a point where the wife doesn't talk non-stop because it gets so boring to hear a wife to constantly talk without making any form of sense.

I believe that men and women should be completely equal. The woman should choose half the time and the man should choose the other half of the time. Caring about each other's needs is far more important than small talk.

Topics in the home I grew up in just .. developed and went on their own. No one "chose" anything. If you had something to discuss you simply waited your turn until the last one was exhausted.

But usually they just flowed. People love each other, the conversation happens because they have so much to say to each other some times, other times, they are so comfortable they say no more than "Please pass me the salt, love."

Hi Sandstory, Why not!!! Don't you think that women can have a good topic to talk about at dinner time? Or are you one of those PIGS that think women can't do anything but have babies and clean house!!! Women are moving up so you better watch your P's AND Q's..

Am I back in 1807?! I can't believe you would ask such a sexist question. Bob Barker!! What a pleasant surprise!! I have watched you since you were doing T or C. I still watch you every single day. I always wanted to tell you, that when I was about 5, every morning, when you came out, I used to run up to the TV and kiss you. I swear. I think Richard Karn should replace you. He hosted Family Feud for a while, and I was surprised at how smart, quick , and likable he was. And he was comfortable with anyone; no matter how old or young. I already answered the question "who should replace you," and I got a best answer for Richard Karn. I love you, thank you, and wish you the best of luck.
