No. The earth is an inanimate object and does not posses emotions or have thoughts.
There are many natural processes within the earth that are the result of balances of forces that when upset result in drastic changes of weather or sudden releases of geothermal energy which are often referred to figuratively as the planet's anger or wrath. But in truth the planet has no feelings.

This is an old post, but, I feel the need to share my opinion. Planet Earth wasn't made for Human Beings. The existence of Planet Earth was established WAY before Humans beings set foot on her. We believe this is our Planet, but it's not. We are visitors to this Planet. We are the guest. I believe Earth is alive. It is alive in a sense we cannot directly see, and cannot even begin to understand. Think and observe. Look at nature. It is constantly growing, and destroying whatever is in its path. The more we treat this planet with cruelty, the stronger it will respond. Your question isn't a yes or no answer. It comes down to what YOU believe. Scientists and researchers share their answers, but when you begin to understand that this is the intellect of Human beings, you begin to understand how small minded this is. Science isn't truth, and there are so many instances throughout history where we proved something wrong that we previously thought was truth. I believe Planet Earth & Mother Nature is an organism itself. What do you choose to believe?
