Somehow it seems my parents know things about me I've never told anyone. They never tell me they know, they just make the hints as obvious as possible.

Just a note: I'm already grown, moved out of the house seven years ago, and graduated college. They still know what's going on.

This is cute. My daughter is mystified too, how I know things she's tried to keep secret.

A mother and her "baby" still have an umbilical cord attached to each other but it's more "telepathic" in nature. We know everything about you except how you behave when you're out with your friends but we know how we raised you, we know what characteristics and morals you've inherited and we know your "looks." We know the look when you're hiding the truth; the look when you're fudging the truth and the look when you've stretched the truth up overhead like a "wedgie." LOL

The truth is ...... we're all mindfreaks! LOL

Parents should never tell their children lies (except for Father Christmas and the Tooth Fairy). Children unfortunately need these lies so that they can fit in with society. Parents should also never tell them they are wanted or loved and make threats that they cannot possibly carry out. There are many, many more things that children shouldn't be told if they are to grow into well balanced adults.

There are probably clues that you leave that you don't know about. Parents are hawks. They've been around the block, the know most of the tricks (barring new technology), and know what to look for. They've known you since you were born, and are finely in tune with who you are.

For example: I called myself in so I didn't have to go to school one day. The school didn't call her, but my mom found out somehow, and I didn't learn until I graduated that it was because I left the phone book open.

Who could know you better than your own parents? A lot of times parents notice things but don't say anything to keep from embarrassing you. Other times they notice something but don't tell you because they know you wouldn't listen to them anyway. They are allowing you to make your own mistakes, learn your own lessons and make your own observations.

It's just Parental instinct. When U are a parent you'll know. I mean, usually they don't really have the firm knowledge, It's just a feeling. Usually, its right. It's from, "Been there done that". They have been in your circumstances in there life, they know what's goin' on. Don't ever think they are stupid. HA!

Be very careful about those parents of yours. Parents are very sneaky and they will stop at nothing to find out what you are up to. You are basically under surveillance until the day you move out of their house. Good luck with those sneaky people that gave birth to you.

They just can't be trusted!

It sounds to me that you are paranoid. There is no need to worry. There are several answers for this question:
1) They raised you and set an example for you and taught you what they know
2)We are all human
3) You are their blood

Maybe you didn't close the door properly and your mom caught you beating the one-eyed snake but you didn't notice because you were too busy sliding the cover over???

Parents have crazy special powers like that... it's just parenthood.
