I have heard rural country life can be lonely and isolating for single people. Or would it? What about metropolitan areas, big cities, suburbs or small towns? Suggestions appreciated.

Just watched an oprah episode last week and accoding to recent Men's Health Magazine, best cities for single men in their 30s (of which I am) are the following.

san jose, california
salt lake city, ut
arlington, tx
raleigh, nc
san francisco, ca
