Your baby is doing what babies do. They are in a confined space and that is how they exercise. Your baby will probably have some good muscle tone when it comes out. When that baby comes out, be prepared for some heavy screaming and constant diaper changing. Right now, as it is moving about, you can be comforted in knowing that it is alive and well. But I will tell you this, if you sit in a rocking chair or move about very slowly, the motion will relax the child and it won't move around so much.

According to the Antenatal Home Care Nurses who come see me a couple of times a week, it doesn't nessicarily mean the baby will be active when born. However, it is a GREAT sign that the baby is healthy. Baby will likely be strong, not under weight and healthy when born.
Do your fetal movement counts once in a while. Its 10 movements in 2 hours to be "ok", ACTIVE is frequently getting 10 in under 15 minutes while under 32 weeks...
I usually get 10 in under 5 minutes, I know how you feel!

My kids were the opposite of that, my son moved from 19 weeks until my epidural, I swear, he STILL is quiet and doesn't move around a lot (hes 5)
my daughter I think moved like 30 times the whole pregnancy, I went for 5 stress tests because I would go like 3 days without feeling a thing, and I don't think she ever stops, she wiggles in her sleep. She has been to emergancy 4 times in 6 months for injuries, and my son hasn't yet.
Congratulations

My youngest son was very active in the womb and became very active as soon as he could crawl around and hasn't stop going yet. It's so hard to tell how active a child will be, just have to wait and see.

heyy..
when i was pregnant with my daughter, she was really active, she was constantly moving and kicking 24/7, but when she was born she was actually really mellow, laid back and a very easy going baby and still is at 3 weeks old.. I think she just wanted to get out lol, but every baby is different.

When I was pregnant my baby was moving a lot too. She was moving a lot especially at night, but once she was born, she turned out to be a very calm and happy baby.
When she was about 5 weeks old she started to sleep all night long (00:00 - 7am)
I never tought she would be a calm baby!

My son was active at night. But when he was born he wanted out. He was born within 15 minutes by the time my water broke. HE was crowning, my ex phoned the Ambulance and I had to lay on my bed to give birth. I gave birth to my son just as the ambulance people showed up to cut the cord, and he is still active, but he has mellowed out some...he is 5 now.
He is a great kid, he loves to give lots of love and hugs and kisses..everyday, as long as you love your child from your whole hearts, your child will be fun to be with. My child brings out the child in me...

I don't think so. Both my kids were pretty mellow in the womb, but they are active outside it.

My daughter was never active, worried my ob alot, but i knew she was fine.
When she was born she was good for the first 2 months and then boom, active baby.
Now with my second pregnancy this boy is a mover, they way he moves makes it feel like im having twins.
Im curious to see how he will come out.

Thats is all debatable. as far as wives tales go. Most children (i believe) pick up the "vibe" from his or her parents. I think its more of an enviroment thing then anything. However i remember what it was like when my youngest was kick the *&%$ out of me.... just remember a moving baby is a healthy baby.
:) Is this your first child?
