thanks REVHEAD... i think that adel guy meant that because they built the combustion engine that's what made them think of making cars, and cause they invented cars this led to this specific type of car to be made... i think... :)

Some cool recent inventions that I have heard of...
Levitation platform.
I read about this device that uses the rotation of electrons to levitate matter above a platform. In the article I read the inventors were able to levitate everything from a slice of pizza to a frog.
Faster than light optics.
Some researchers found a type of "gooey" fiber optics that when light is shown at one end, it appears at the other end before the light is shown at the beginning. How much faster it is I do not know and hope to read more about this discovery in the near future.
Cancer killing cold.
Some medical researchers have created a type of common cold virus that attacks cancerous tumors in the body. The idea is, catch a cold, cure your cancer. It is still being tested on animals, and though the virus does indeed attack cancer, it is far from being a final source or even a viable remmedy for cancer.

Some of my favourite inventions are... the remote control (saves time and energy), and the internet (its information, connecting with people), and the 1968 Dodge Charger RT (it held the fastest top speed in nascar for 13 yrs!!)
By the way.. Adel A is wrong, there is no internal combustion engine in a Mazda RX-7. They have rotary engines!

Internal combustion engine - awesome because it gave rise to the automobile, which then gave rise to the Mazda RX-7
Transistor - amazing because it led to the development of the integrated circuit, which led to Halo
Fiber optics - incredible because it works at the speed of light, meaning I can talk with my uncle in Cairo totally normally, as if he's across the room
Ice Cream - scrumptious because it is the combination of two totally awesome elements, ice and cream
Camera - unbelievable because it captured what was once reserved only to our eyesight, and now allows us to take videos with our cell phone
Basketball - priceless because it allowed us to play a sport so versatile and free without risking paralyzing injuries, and allowed us to witness the greatness of MJ, Bird, and Nowitzki

I am just in love with solar and wind technology for energy. I read articles about this all the time. I am trying to find ways to bring this type of energy into my home. Right now I am buying a little wind power from the utility company, and I would like to have a solar array on my roof or property.
