We use Eco Earth bedding for our tortoise. It seems to be awesome stuff but he's filling his dish of water with it. When we bought him they told us he may eat the dirt... is this what he's goin?

We have 4 tortoises and this is very common, all of ours do this, they drag it in to there water or push it in either way it sure gets in there....My leopards get alot of there bedding in there water becouse they are digging a (bed)....And my red foots are constantly going in and out of there water , getting a drink, soaking, and what seems to be just plain playing in the water......This a normal thing and I myself still havent figured out a way to stop this.....You would think after 25 years of having reptiles I would find something that worked...lol

could also be that he is tracking it into the bowl with him when he goes in to soak.
What kind of tortoise?
Is the eco-earth moist?

They are dragging it in. I could help you know if it is a good option if we know what kind of tortoise you have.
