You must be be talking about John Kerry, the Vietnam war "hero" who deserted his swiftboat crew by using the 3 purple heart rule to cut his 12 month deployment by 8 months. Kerry's "wounds" were of the bandaid variety and he did not spend even one day in sick bay. Lt(jg) Kerry, as a swiftboat commander, wrote his own reports which is how he came home looking like Audie Murphy with his medals.

actually I think he served in the Texas Air National Guard under (literally) G.W. Bush. I heard they went on leave together, shared a room, the rest is history, chickenhawk never liked women again! Clinton was never in the military. So, they didn't get a chance to kick him out.
Just so chickenhawk doesn't get his panties further in a bunch, I've had my boots on the ground in sunny Baghdad for ten months and counting.
