I'm 21 weeks and have been told it is perfectly normal at this point to go a whole day without feeling baby's movements, since he could just be turned in the wrong direction or very calm. The kick count thing, where you count the number of kicks per hour, doesn't really start until about your 25th week. And yeah, the more active you are, the less likely you are to notice kicks. Also, sometimes my baby's movements are just swishy-whooshy movements, and other times they are like little taps from the inside, and only a couple of times I have gotten full-on WHAMS! to my belly and seen the whole thing bounce! I think you're normal and fine. Just drink some juice about 30 minutes before bed and then rest on your back when you first get in bed. You may feel some movements then and be reassured!

A baby moves about 50 times per hour even in its sleep but the movement may not be enough for you to notice at 19 weeks. The movement should be subtle and you'll notice it more when you are sitting still or laying down. At this point in pregnancy, most women feel at least a few movements a day. I am 22 weeks pregnant and movements were very hard to feel a few weeks ago. Good luck in your pregnancy! Hope this helps

Keep in mind it is still early. Also when you are busy chasing your 8mo old and doing your daily tasks your moving around rocks the baby to sleep. Most movement is usually at night or when you are resting. If you get nervous, try to find a quiet place to lay down and rest, and soon enough you will feel those wonderful flutters.

soft hits i think, I didnt feel any until 20 weeks and those were some what strong. Now he just grinds his heel or hand out and that hurts.

I found a small trick to feel him kick, at night or when he is more active i lay on my belly. Kicks like crazy. I some what hate laying on my belly after my first.

They are not very hard at 19 weeks, and you may only feel the baby once or twice a day at this point in your pregnancy.
