I would make a sandy desert that had a couple of ancient burial chambers hidden under the dunes. There would be sandstorms and landslides, and a relentless, inhospitable sun that pounds down upon all oppressively like a stern school ma'am. There would be an oasis where the camels and natives would stop to drink, but the tourists would never find it because it would be so far away from the city. As for animals, I would obviously opt for camels, a few kinds of snakes, lots of insect, buzzards, but that would be all, for few can survive in the desert.

I'd bake chocolate chip cookies! I have cookie dough in the fridge right now, so it would be the best choice of dessert to make.=)
