Yeah it's all about you, Ryan. Your baby was just born, for christs sake. You have a hand, don't you?

The doctor tells a woman before leaving the hospital that she cannot partake in intercourse for at least six weeks, upon which time she should have a postpartum appointment where he/she will exam her and see if she is ready to "resume activity", or not. She is not trying to make you suffer, but sex would be excruciating for her, and probably for you, too. And it could very well interfere with her body healing from the trauma of having a baby.
A good thing for you is that women are extremely fertile after having a baby, so just think, if you aren't doing "it", you can't get her pregnant again!

Ha! You try squeezing a huge baby out of your crotch after carrying it for 9 to 10 months and see if you feel up to having sex right away! Her body has been through a lot recently and has a lot of healing to do. And just so you know... even after the "six week" waiting period is up, she still might not be up for sex. Sex after childbirth HURTS some women and takes a lot longer than six weeks to recover. It could be MONTHS before she's ready. Sorry, buddy. Good luck...

You selfish bastard. She just pushed a baby out! Give her time to heal. If you were a real man you wouldnt think that shes trying to make you suffer. GROW UP.
6 days ago you were asking about popping the question!!! SO THE BABY IS NEWBORN, sex is a serious second to the high of becoming a dad.

I think every woman is different. Therefor every birth experience is different.
I personally felt ready for action 3 weeks after giving birth to my daughter BUT i did have a reletively 'easier' labour compared to some horror stories i have heard.
I think all you can do is make sure you remind her how beautiful she is, and that having a baby has not changed your lust for her. thats where i found my doubt over sharing relations with my husband, i felt big and fat.
If you rush her you are only going to push her away.
Maybe compromise? Have a chat with her, dont get nasty or bitter. She did a big thing for you, let her know you appreicate this.

It's to let your body heal up after what is has been through, trust me it dont really feel to good having sex after pushing a big baby out of you, things are brusied up inside and need a good amount of healing, plus if you had stitchs wait till those heal up also.
You can try after your bleeding lightns up alot or stops, if it dont hurt then go easy, BUT use a condom.
Got pregnant 2 months after i had my baby. Yeah it hurt in certain positions and the entire time when we had sex again.

Yeah thats the right timeframe unless you wanna have more babies right away. She has to have a check-up with the doctor after 6 weeks to make sure she is healing properly from having the baby. If you dont like it then you try having one!

The doctor recommends that she wait that long. She and you should want to wait that long to make sure that she is healing up properly. Aren't you concerned about her health? You should be happy if she even wants to have sex with you after 6 weeks.

Guys... lighten up. At least he's asking questions instead of pressuring her! When I was in the hospital after giving birth to my first, the second night there, another lady was moved in to the bed next to me. She was in rough shape, it had been a long labor and she tore rather badly. After only a few hours, she had a visitor... her husband. he was in the room for only 5 minutes when I heard her saying "no, please stop, it hurts too much..." I peeked around the corner and he was on top of her! Of course I called the nurse.

AT LEAST HE'S ASKING!!!

It hurts man. She needs to heal.

because you need time to heal whether from vaginal or cesearen birth
and it's dangerous as your stitches could be pulled out or you re ripped
aside from that it's also something doctors say to keep husbands from even trying it as you wont feel like having sex for at least 4 weeks
