It very well could have been. The CIA kept a division of psychics for ages just in case. The SS could have done something similar. I don't know for sure, but it's very possible.

They made it up. But it is important to note that Hitler did believe in astrology and other unusual theories. So it's a gross exaggeration instead of complete fiction.
