I have a surprise for my friend who likes Yahoo Answers. It's very likely that she'll find out about this question and then wonder what I've done!! I'm not telling (of course) but I will say she will be shocked when she finds out what the surprise is!

Now, my question is, what feels best...giving the surprise or getting one? (granted it's a good surprise)

Ohhhhhhhhh...........Hahahahaha!

I see now! You are such a dork!

I like giving the surprise! I like paying attention to my children, since they're sooo used to me ignoring them every single day....its fun to see the looks on their faces when I actually pay attention to what they're saying and when I decide to grace them with my presence at a sporting event (oh how I hate to sit and watch SPORTS <------YUCK!) or some mundane choir function....GEESE! So yeah....definitely giving the surprise is the best....

As for getting....it took me a realllllllly long time to get used to being surprised (by you-know-who) I was used to things like......(the following is an excerpt from a conversation with my EX)

*So Honey (he never called me by my name...I often wondered if he even knew what it was) what would you like for your birthday?*

*Wellll, I've given it some thought and since you asked....I would really like to have a small, 13 inch color tv for the kitchen (keep in mind, at that time in my life, most of my time was spent IN the kitchen, washing/making 25 bottles a day, doing three to four loads of laundry a day, fixing/cooking lunch and dinner for him and a three year old) Yeah, a little color tv in the kitchen would be the BEST*

*K*

Fast forward to my birthday, it was a Sunday. We'd gotten up went to church, came home and I walked into a surprise party put together by EX.....that was really great, I was definitely surprised. There were about 20 people here, there was food, cake, ice cream.....and presents.

He made this big, huge production of presenting me with this gargantuan box.....I was like *Yayayayaya, a TV*

I open it, everyone is watching...........it was a USED.....BLACK and WHITE TV......about 15 years old.......

He later admitted to me, that the money he intended to spend on the TV, he spent on Porn movies and magazines instead......(Nooooo, I do NOT have issues!)

Sooooooooooo..............this better be GOOD my little Leepchen! ;) You did ask ;) ;) ;) ;) :) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I'm the kind of person that if I don't know then go ahead with the surprise, but if I find out then I have to know. But if it is a really good surprise then all means go ahead with it, I'll bet your friend will love it.
