I am going to vegas 9/16-9/19 and looking for a good promo code for MGM, Monte Carlo...well really anywhere nice. Let me know if you have anything new!

You're a bit early for September PC's. The first of July would be about the time most hotels will send out promotion offers for September.

If you're looking for offers from MGM or Monte Carlo, go to this site and sign up for e-mail updates and or a "Players Club" card.

Between the Harrah's & MGM-Mirage hotel groups you will have most of the 4 star hotels on the strip covered, if you sign up.

You're doing the wise thing by going Sun/Wed you should be able to get a nice rate for a nice hotel. The wise thing to do is to hold a hotel room now through the hotel, then keep looking for a better rate. >You never know when they will schedule a major prize fight in LV and they drive the room rates through the roof< You can always cancel the first reservation and make another, and by having your room locked up at least you know you have one to fall back on.

Hint: If you held those three nights at the $26.99 rate that Sam's Town is offering you would only have $30 tied up. While you wait for an offer from the hotel(s) you really want. >This is what we do, we almost always have our rooms comped but just in case we hold rooms when we find a bargain<

We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years. We now have our entire June 6th - July 5th trip comped but it wasn't until the first week of April that we were able to work everything out. Just in case we were holding rooms for $24 that we found last November. Same with our December trip(16th - Jan 1st) we are holding the 16th - 26th for $232(10 night total) on a rate we found in January, the other 6 nights have already been comped.

I know every situation is different and that you are going for three nights and want to stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel on the strip, but it sure is nice to know that you have a nice place locked up just in case.
