I know this is a stupid question but there is a girl I really like and I think my chances are pretty good and I was wondering what the best way would be to ask her out.

ya just ask her. Be nervous it ok. its actually exhilirating and quite a buzz
sometimes the girls even think its sweet when your nervous

most girls like it if you just ask them straight up. dont have someone do it for you, they'll think that your too shy aroun them and say no. just ask her up front "Will you go out with me?"

Just do it. Be direct, but not too in her face. Simple is better.

and
do it in person,,,not on the phone or through a friend.
