Pre-med is for people who want to become MDs, and pre-pharm is for people who want to become PharmDs.
Difference in courseload is that pharmacy requires public speaking, economics, and human anatomy/physiology.

Being a pharmacist is a great career choice! But why would you be premed if you want to be a pharmacist? I can't understand your reasoning for that.
You need to check the details about how Pharm schools work. To get reliable information about pharmacy, check the website of the Association of American Colleges of Pharmacy AACP... you can get a list of all the colleges of pharmacy in the USA and connect with them to see what their requirements are. They have direct links to the websites of each school so you can pick the exact ones that are closest to you, or that you are interested in.
Good luck with your future career in Health Sciences!

The difference between the two programs is quite minor. Provided you meet the requirements of pharma school, it doesn't really matter what you take, even a BA with some supplementary courses is ok. You need to check the courses listed in the pre-pharma program and make sure it matches the requirements of your preferred pharma schools. Even though its called pre-pharmacy, every school is different so you may be missing required courses or taking unnecessary extra courses. Look carefully into each program!
