Once I start to feel better I stop taking them

I always finish them!
I'm good & responsible like that.
Besides, I always worry that I might get sick again a few days later if I don't finish them.

Always. I got chewed out for not finishing them once about 30 some odd years ago. I was told I could have wound up with a mega infection.

Doctors generally tell you to take antibiotics until they are all gone. Take them all regardless of how you feel. Be sure to read the medication bottle. It generally gives the instructions right on the bottle. If you are uncertain, call your doctor or pharmcist. They are the best equiped to answer your question with accuracy.

I have to finish mine or I get sick again. It always happened that way, so I know to take them all.

If you don't take them all you stand a good chance of whatever-it-was coming back and being antibiotic resistant. You should always finish them.
