still in denial..melinda has got the voice, the presence, all over the other two, i love them too, but melinda should not have been voted off. but as others have said, number one choices do not always fare as well as the others..she will make it very big..the other two were shocked as well, they both looked like deer in the headlights..

I always thought Melinda was the best singer. I also sometimes felt it was almost unfair because she's already a professional. But it isn't really a singing contest, is it? In any event, it doesn't really make a difference at this point: look how much better Chris Daughtry is doing than Taylor Hicks. I would say the eventual success of the top 5 has little to do with what order they finished in (certainly the top 3).

I was shocked as well since I thought she was one of the most talented on the show. She has a nice stage presence and a wonderful voice. I thought she would make the final two hands down.

Nope, not shocked. She was good, but only in certain genres of songs. Last night she did horrible w/the Whitney Houston song. Her voice was warbling when trying to hit certain notes. Tina Turner song, was more her style of music. But overall, the end decision, was right. She'll still have a CD out.
