It sounds like contact dermatitis. Something you're coming in contact with is causing this itching, and it is a type of allergic reaction or sensitivity. It could be the material in your clothes, the detergent you use in the laundry, certain lotions or cosmetics you use on your body, or even a food allergy. I've had the same thing happen to me, especially in the summer. I thought it was from insect bites, but I rarely spend a lot of time in the summer heat. You could be sensitive to a medicine you're taking, any pets you might have, pollens and grasses, mold spores and dust mites -- there are many things that cause skin eruptions, rashes and hives. My suggestion would be to see a dermatologist. Eucerin cream is good, and so is neosporin. That's what my doctor prescribed, and the rashes go away. They seem to come and go during the summer months only. Right now I'm using a self tanner, and my legs are all broken out with red welts that look like hives. They are itchy and my skin feels bumpy. Try a process of elimination to see if eliminating certain things you're coming in contact with helps the situation. If not, see a skin specialist. Good luck!

Sounds like a seasonal thing When we leave one season and move into the next we can benefit from some work on our skin. You can buy a soft loofah sponge at the drugstore to slough off the dead top layer of skin. Then I recommend an oatmeal based soap to get rid or the itch. Stay away from the scented lotions and creams they will omly make it worse. Hope this helps you.

What kind of work do you do? When I worked w patients in the hospital, some would come in with some kind of skin thing going on and twice I experienced the same.
The second time was the worst and in despreration I shaved my entire body when I showered, including face b/c of the little tiny peachy fuzz we all have. I used my hubbys nose thing inside my nose. I spared my head of hair and one more place, that I didnt shave either one.
It took care of the problem. Good luck.
BTW, rice makes me itch. I love rice and most dinner entrees always were made with rice. I noticed when I ate the meals cooked with rice by the time I went to bed I was itching all over. I didnt stop eating rice, but, it does make me itch. So at those times its not unusual. Hope this helps.

It may be allergies, and you shouldn't discount it...try using a histamine blocker like Benadryl. If it stops the itching, you know that it's probably allergies. Also, are you drinking plenty of water? Sometimes when I get dehyrated, my skin gets itchy!

Does it occur more at night? Do you have red little bumps? It sounds like it may be scabies. Look up the symptoms at webmd.com for scabies to see if that is what it could be. If you have slept over by someones house recently it could be quite possible.

look, it has to be an allergy. I can't think of anything else. If it's serious go to a doctor. Try some anti-allergy pills

Have you changed your bath or laundry soap or fabric softener. Did you wash new clothes before you wore them. That's about all I can think of. Usually, if you're allergic to a food your chest breaks out, too.
