Yes and no! I mean, you gotta think..most of the American population that watches Idol are probably kids (pre-teens and teenagers) and they are probably mostly girls. Well, all the girls seem to like Blake... and since Jordin is only 17, she is definately going to be voted for.
But Melinda, although she had a good voice, I think she was more for the older crowd. To me, she sounds A LOT like Tina Turner. The younger crowd isnt into Tina Turner like the older generation was.
I am sure we havent seen the last of her.

It's beginning to make me wonder. Blake in the finale. I think that's wrong. I'd rather see Sanjaya win than Blake.

yes american idol wasn't voting on talent they were voting for the ai profile alot of people wasnt down withher looks and age when it comes right down to it i really thought she would hang in there for next week very disappointed yes our votes are taken in consideration before they send someone home please dont mention sanjaya which they used for ratings

I don't think it is fixed. I am glad to see her go. There are many that got sick off the Bambi deer in the headlights look every episode. Very irratating. Her style is old. Jordan and Blake are hip and more unique which sells cds.

Yes. I think the only reason she didn't win was because simon liked her so the am piblic did it just to spite him
