Tonight Melinda Doolittle was voted out. Out of all 3, she was the best singer. I think Blake is a joke.

Melinda was the best overall performer and singer. I believed her to win this Idol, but for some reason, the panel gave her some really crazy songs to sing that forced her to use everthing she had for these songs all in one night. I guess they were testing her range, etc.

I think that Melinda did a great job. Do I think that she was the best on Tuesday? I think her songs were very challenging and I think that the others had songs that complimented the singers' voices. So no, I don't think Melinda did her best on Tuesday. BUT, do I think she should have been booted? Absolutely NOT. The panelists were right about one thing: Melinda was the most consistent performer and singer throughout the WHOLE series. For that, I belive in the long run, Melinda would have given Idol what they're looking for all along: a money maker. I don't think that it's fair they use this kind of ratings system. A performer has one non-typical night, so what? Does that mean that the singer that has come so far should be booted just like that? Everyone knew that Melinda was going to win. Something almost sounds Kafka! Something is going on, or maybe God has something way better for her. I like that better.

I KNOW that Melinda will go on and do great things with this gift. She is destined to, just not on Idol. I can't wait until she goes on tour or releases an album of her own or does whatever else God has planned for her. I'm excited for her. I do wish the others well too.

I cant say that I was surprised. I think Melinda is the bests singer. But its not all about the singing. Its the whole package. Blake gets alot of the votes because he is so different but i dont think he is the best singer by far. I do like him though. Also, Jordin is adorable. She has alot of the teenagers votes. She is a good singer and has the whole package. The only problem with Melinda is that she was very predictable. She always sings in a kind of gospel way. I think after a while, people want to hear something different. She will do well though without the contract from idol. I see her having a great future. Blake on the other hand, if he doesnt win, I dont think he will go very far.

Melinda won no matter what "America Voted." Techie geeks have auto dialers and that's probably why Sanjaya stayed on so long. I think rules should change and allow only one vote to come from each phone number, IP or MAC address etc. Get the Neilsen people to do the ratings and I bet you'll see a different outcome.

I will buy Melinda's album and go see her in concert. I have just loved her innocence since the auditions. Her faith and modesty complement her precious voice. Jordin is just a kid and will probably blossom into the performer Melinda is if she doesn't get ruined by the industry.

Blake on the other hand is probably the best of the boys but apparently appeals to the bubblegummers and other population groups rather than mainstream America.

I do agree with one other commenter, I forgot to vote so I can't complain, but I think America let Melinda down by assuming - from Simon's comments that Melinda had the competition in the bag.

I called it when Lakisha was kicked out I told my boyfriend that one guy (I didnt really pay too much attention to the guys) Jordin and Melinda were gonna be the last three and I told my boyfriend that Melinda was next to go because I just figured that the teen girls would vote for the cute guy and they would also vote for the young pretty girl honestly I just thought that Melinda would not get far because of the age group of the voters but i also think that lakisha & melinda didnt need to be on the show because most nights they would just blow everyone out the box...so that really makes me think the show is slippin because they really didnt have any competition besides jordin so basically its a popularity contest to me...not a singing contest sometimes it was funny because they would put someone like haley up after melinda or lakisha

I LOVE Melinda Doolittle and was so DISSAPOINTED she got kicked off. Out of all of them, she was the best. She always gave and OUTSTANDING performance. I know the younger really like Blake. I think that is why he still there - because teenagers are more likely to call and voter rather and adults. Though, I voted for Melinda about 10 times the night before she got kicked off. I'm not not even going to watch it next week.

As many people that are saying blake is a joke and melinda should have won, keep one thing in mind. There are just as many Blake fans out there.

That being said, I too was surprised that Melinda was booted, however, as the past has shown us, just because your eliminated from the show, dosen't mean you won't go far. If you make it into the top 6, you are pretty much garanteed a carrer. at least that's the way it seams to me.

Good luck Melinda, I think you should have won, but you did in a way. Actually the only way that matters.

After Tuesday nights performance, Melinda scored 3 perfect 10's as far as I'm concerned. She has a dynamic stage presence, an amazing voice, passion and focus. She has been consistant all season long. It is beyond crazy that she is not in the final. AMERICA got it WRONG! I think it should be 1 vote for 1 person, I dont get this vote as many times as you want thing, or vote up to 10 times (thats ridiculous).
1 person should get 1 vote. I really think the voting was skewed, because there is no logical way she should'nt be in the finals with Jordin.

Melinda Doolittle was the best singer, I would have given Lakeisha Jones second place. I feel whoever wins the final it will be anti-climatic, this last year and this year the winner will be determined by false consensus thank to the dumb vote early and often system like last year's American Idol: Taylor Hicks, even William Hung and Chris Sligh sell more records (according to Amazon.com) than this two left footed dufus who goes off key in the middle of his dumb dances, and Katherine McPhee, Chris Daughtry and Elliott Yamin go without say that they are now doing good. I have come to the conclusion that American Idol needs to be put off the air, it's become bogus. I hope Melissa Doolittle goes on to bigger and better things in spite of Idol, she has the potential and if she has the drive she can go it on her own once her commitment to the American Idol Tour ends, I'm sure there are record companies lining up for her.

I agree that Melinda Doolittle was the best singer and should have been Idol 2007. And for the jerk that said the mean things about her "being a man" and having a sex change, you are rude and mean. I really thought that the final two would be Melinda and Jordin.. I mean c'mon lets be honest Blake is talented but not talented enough.. Its a singing competition after all not a beat box competition.. And besides there is a lot of people who can beat box and sing at the same time.. I don't see what's the amusement is all about.. But to have a voice like Jordin and Melinda now that is something amusing and rare!!! I am really rooting for Jordin!!! vote for her!!! Cuz she has the personality and looks and of course the TALENT!!!!!!
