Simplest answer is, yeah, a rock. But a rock is generally made up of 2 or more minerals (unless its something weird like dunite). If its just one mineral, then its just a mineral.

how hard? how many minerals? what type of minerals? This question is just too hard... even for a geologist to answer...is this a trick question??? .... I know is it a rock? has to be... yes its a rock!
