Is it possible to have so many friends, be normal, and happy but feel so empty? An empty feeling, as if something missing. A feeling of something is heavy in heart and a tight feeling in your throat like something was stuck there. A feeling that puts you away from everyone

This is not a constant feeling. It just comes at random times.

It's never been my experience.
It could be that someone rather than something is missing. These are the oddities of language. I'm sure if you had a test done, you would find that everything "inside" is there and where it should be.
Our impreciseness with language only causes further suffering as it makes resolving problems in our lives that much more difficult.
Some of what you describe resembles "sadness" or "grief".

It sounds like you are struggling with existentialism. You may want to start reading some of the great philosophers of this school of thought (Kierkegaard is my personal choice but Nietzche is also very popular).
Keep in mind that philosophy builds on previous schools of thought and that there have been new movements that have expanded on existentialism. With that said, by reading a little about existentialism and then following the lead of later schools, you will find yourself growing philosophically and pesonally, possibly even spiritually, as well.
Also, although this may sound simplistic, if you wish to feel a connection with others it is essential that you experience a connection with yourself. This can be best done through journaling and I encourage you to take pen in hand and find your own meaning in your life.

Yes, it is possible to feel that way. I would say it is even quite common. It could be a mild anxiety issue or depression or a combination of both. It could be something else. If this is feeling is troubling you alot and has lasted for more than two weeks, I recommend seeing a counselor or therapist, just for a talk. Or just find someone you trust and talk to them. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

This is a feeling like no other. You need to find what will fill the emptiness from within. Sometimes it's not from lack of friends, fun, or material things. Sometimes the emptiness is because you need to find your one true love.
Remember, the love you are missing may not be from a significant other, but from yourself.

All right, you have someone on your mind, don't you? So, why don't you ask the question you really want to ask? You know, about the guy who grabs your attention every time he walks by, and yet never notices you?
Am I assuming a lot? I don't think so. You are suggesting something by your question that you are dancing around. Most people wouldn't bother asking a question they already know the answer to.

I really think you should check out religion. Its common for people to feel this way. I felt like it before I found Christ and brought Him into my life. Maybe try to read the Bible and see if it moves you and fills the hole in your heart. Ill be praying for you!
