Think Jerry Falwell just nominated Newt Gingrich!!
He was cold enough to serve his wife with divorce papers while she was in the hospital-and isn't his new wife someone he had on the Govt. payroll while they were-well whatever.
Now that's looking after American Citizens rights and benefits- at least his ex wife got govt health insurance I would think.
Go Newt GO!!!!

Out of all of them, John Edwards. He seems the most personable, honest, and down to earth guy. He doesn't smear, he just tells it like it is.
He did get a $400 hairvut, but not with taxpayers money..with his own...remember he can afford to have an expensive haircut...now if he really did, who knows? The media will make up anything nowadays.

What kind of increased rights and benefits do you have in mind. I'd have to say that the benefits would come from Dems and rights would come from either party, depending on what kind of rights you had in mind. There's too candidates for me to focus on right now.

I'm beginning to think Ron Paul wouldn't be too bad. Somehow he seems to have kept his common sense through these last few years. Amazing.

If you understood anything at all about the philosophy upon which the US was founded, you'd know that no President has the power to increase or diminish individual rights. They just are.
If you understood anything about history, you'd also know that the government that grants you benefits need not be as concerned about observing your rights.
