How funny is it that people who can barely compose an e-mail want to be writers?
Do they imagine that writing is easy because you do it sitting down?

I think they should be encouraged. Most will fail, but all of them will develop an appreciation of how hard it is to write a book.

As an author I find it a bit annoying that everyone calls themselves a writer these days. If others really knew what writers lives were really like they wouldn't be so quick to claim them

It's funny, in a way, but then it's frustrating. Of all the manuscripts clogging editors' and agents' desks, how many are pure garbage?! I view these so-called writers as barriers and obstacles in MY career.

It takes a mind to write. You cant do it using symbols and short lettering. Like: idk-i dont care. and bf- meaning best friend. Email is not always like texting.
