there are plenty of videos that are kid friendly but there are more videos that are not. So if you let her use it, i would monitor it

There are many hilarious, child-appropriate videos on youtube.com, however as with every site, there are many inappropriate ones as well. You may want to check over Youtube, and show your daughter what parts she can and can't use. Overall, most of it is well suited for your daughter, however just watch out for those "odd videos".

Well um youtube has some pretty bad videos. She may want to try clubpenguin.com stardoll.com webkinz.com everythinggirl.com. But youtube has informational videos too. But some videos they block for kids under 18. When or if she goes on make sure shes not looking at something dangerous. The internet has become pretty dangerous.

There are many things in the under 18 section that I do not consider appropriate for a child.
There also is an adult content area. Anyone can get in to see the adult videos. They require you to register for this and for you to claim you are 18 or older; they do not check this so their security is a joke.

Like any medium of communication, it is neither good or bad, appropriate or inappropriate. What is transmitted via the medium may be.
There is no nudity on YouYube although some things can be very suggestive. There is nothing that I would call offensive, but then I'm not easily offended.
What exactly are you afraid of her seeing?

You can find anything and everything on youtube. All you have to do to get into what we might call the "spicier" videos is create an account. I'm not sure if there are any child protection features. My advice is that you poke around and explore it a bit yourself before letting your daughter on.

They have some inappropriate stuff on there that isnt for a child at that age. It depends on how trust worthy she is. As your probly reading this your gonna think your child is the most trust worthy girl on earth but really think about it. Is she that responsible? Some of the videos have fowl language and innapropriate images Its up to you as the parent to decide what you want to do.

There are some videos that you must be 18yrs or over to view but it will pop up with a warning. She won't just stumble into it. I would say I have seen some PG-13 movies that show more than those vidoes.

yes but make her create and account stating shes 11 and she can't watch videos over that age limit and bad videos. If you have an acount and you state your under the age limit, 18 i think, it automatically blocks bad stuff your daughter shouldn't watch. If u dont want to make an account watch her when shes browsing on u tube. mostly, there wont be any harm if she doesn't purposly go on something bad.

I think it will be fine as long as you watch what she is watching from time to time because there are some things on you tube that wouldnt be good for an 11 year old girl. But you tube is a fun place to look up good videos. :) And most of them are funny or good to watch

Beware... nothing on the internet is safe. Keep a close eye on your children when they're surfing. It's kind of like driving a car, it's not what you're doing on the road (or in this case what your child is doing), it's what the others are doing.
Be there when your daughter is on youtube!
