That's going to be different for everyone really. I think me and my boyfriend told each other around the same time but we both beat around the bush for a few weeks first. If it is very important for you to hear it back, and I can't imagine that it wouldn't be, then you may need to sit down with him and ask what it means to him to hear those words from you and what it means for him to say them. He might be nervous, he might think you want a deeper relationship than he's ready for or something. Just talk to him and then see what comes of it.

He may not have told you for many reasons, so if your looking for a healthy relationship, find someone who isn't married, separated or just got out of a relationship, that way less baggage.
