Im a pharmacy technician and Im wondering what are the credits for when you take the CE? Ive searched online and it says its for license renewal or recertification. Ive been a tech for 3 years and never needed "credits" to renew my license.

If you are certified, you will need 20 hours every 2 years. If you are just licensed, you don't need any.
Pharmacists need to get CEs, and many other health professionals.

To be able to renew your PTCB Licensure, and most State Licensures, you need to have a certain amount of CE Credits. Those credits will need to be in something related to medicine, such as pain management, HIV/AIDS, etc.

There are several free sites you can use to get these credits. Check with the PTCB web site to make sure exactly how many you will need. Then you can google "Free Pharmacy Continuing Education" and have fun! :-) Most of the stuff you probably already know, but it's just to satisfy the red tape at the PTCB.

Good Luck!

Continuing education credits is common for many occupations. My profession require CE's to maintain certification. You should check with whomever you license is with.
