We all know that President Bush has no ties with big oil and is helpless to stem the tide of higher prices. Thank God our invasion of Iraq is paying off with more oil going into the pipeline.

Oh, my yes and the fact that there was a Compressor in London, Ontario that blew up caused our gas prices to go up. Oh, and it is that time of year when they slow down oil production, so we pay the price for that, too. Lets see, when the price comes back down to $3.00 a gallon, you will all be saying the same as we Canadians will when it goes to $1.10 a liter..'Well, thank God it didn't stay at $1.35 a liter (Last year it was .90 a liter) I think it is horrendously inflated and certainly not acceptable, but how do we fight it?
I think this is the most ridiculous thing I have heard people say, but it helps them cope, I guess.

i don't agree on pulling out reserves it is for a actual disaster not an financial disaster. Or the different momentary alleviation. i think of we are watching long term recommendations. Drilling whilst getting to know elementary the right thank you to get off of oil dependency. have you ever appeared at the place our oil comes from? basically a small p.c. comes from the middle East. Majority comes from right here, the subsequent is from Canada, then Saudi, then Venezuela. i'd have neglected some. What sucks approximately oil costs, is the charges pass up over hypothesis. There must be extra hurricanes this 12 months, so enable's improve the charges. There must be Iran warfare so enable's improve costs. Exxon has not been effected by applying any of those failures, yet they shop elevating the value, because of the fact each and every person else does. till i think of Oil and power conservation is on the shoppers, any help the government provides us in going to be the two short term, or down the line.

Yeah! And that excess oil is really bringing down the price of gas isn't it?
The invasion of Iraq isn't paying off for anyone. The country is in shambles, thousands of innocent Iraqis have died and close to 3500 Americans will never see their families again.

An inadvertent one yes. Failure to let legislation pass that would allow for increased energy exploration, exploitation and production is the direct cause of inflated costs.

No new refineries and increased demand plus numerous specialty blends that require pipe lines to have pigs (plugs that separate the different blends) inserted between shipments, all increase the cost of manufacture. The profit margin remains unchanged for the oil companies.

Gas goes up in the summertime. Every year. This has been going on forever. It also doesn't help when you give Iran a ton of leverage in the market by taking out their natural enemy in Iraq.

No, it's a response to market forces. Just like all the other fluctuations in gas prices.
