My 9 year old son got burnt by his 4 wheeler over the weekend. The doctor gave us silver sulfadiazine. He is a very good rider and has been riding for a year this is the first accident he has had. Also he is supervised every time he is riding so it's not a lack os supervision.

Yes. The scab is still protecting the injury, but it's not perfect. A bandage over it will help protect it more, and cushion it from small bumps that will hurt or tear the scab. That could lead to an infection.
