I had it checked and they say the o2 cencor was bad. So now my windows or door locks won't work either when the car stalls. Can this be the o2 cencor or is it wiring causing the problem?? Seems when I try to start it it isn't getting any gas feels like to me so maybe it is wiring problem and not engine problem or o2 problem Please someone help me.. I am getting p---ed off here with this car.. I mean it has a great body and runs good except for this problem starting up

O2 Sensor? Probably NOT the problem.
People like to blame the O2 sensor for the problem because that's where the computer fault appears.
However, nine times out of ten, it's not faulty. It is simply reading a condition in the engine that is causing it to send a signal to the computer that there is a fault in the exhaust emissions mixture.
A fouled spark plug, loose spark plug wire, a vacuum leak, dirty injectors, EGR valve, weak fuel pump, dirty fuel filter, weak ignition coil, plugged air filter, on and on, can all cause the O2 sensor to register a fault code.
Before you yank the O2 sensor and replace it, check the basics first. Otherwise, you could have wasted time and money on the result, not the cause.

The computer doesn't go into "closed loop" untill the engine has reached operating temperature.
Therefor, the O2 sensor is NOT the problem.

Check your battery connections first!!
Then the alternator connections.
Then Ignition module. (they like to crap out when they get hot on GMs)

We had a 94 Olds Regency and had the same problems. I'll start by saying I'm not a mechanic but I'm not mechanically dumb. The O2 sensor could cause you engine to run poorly because it is what regulates you air-fuel mixture. Good news for you is it's a cheep fix. In some cases it can just be taken out, brushed off, and thrown back in. The problem is it has nothing to to with the electronics that your windows and door locks run off of. That makes me think that you have a wiring problem. Your car has a computer in it so that makes things both easier and harder. A mechanic is "supposed" to be able to just hook into it and the cars comp. will tell him whats wrong. Unfortunately it's expensive and not always accurate. If I were you I'd have the O2 sensor cleaned or replaced just for the cause of doing it and getting it out of the way as it is likely to go bad anyway. As far as the windows and locks go? I'd start off simple and work you way up. First check for obvious problems like broken or melted wires. Next check out your battery, then alternator, distributor, and so on. If none of that yields any answers you may have to bite the bullet and get the computer tested. In closing, treat your mechanic as if he were a doctor. Trust him, but always get a second opinion before he starts operating! I hope I've helped and good luck!

it probably is the sensor.take it to a dealer and let them run a computer check.if it's wiring it will tell them or if it's the sensor.or something else.
