Common misunderstandings here. Evolution at it's simplest, is genetic change in a population over time. (1, 2, 3) This genetic change is a fact and can be shown in breeds of dogs, cattle and other changes in plant and animal populations (4). Since these genetic changes have happened in the past, modern species don't evolve from other modern species. Humans and monkeys would have come from a common ancient ancestor (5). So, you don't need to worry about evolving from a monkey.

I can't stand the idea of having been born by my parents but it happened.
Some people can't stand the idea that people are animals, but its true.
One thing you can do is differentiate "evlolution" from the "origin of the human species". Evolution can be demonstrated as a current event. We can look at different species that are closely related and see how one evolved from another. We can even see two variations of the same species evolving into two species. What is interesting to me is that long after theory was postulated, genetics was discovered which provide a mechanism for evolution.
As far as whether humans evolved from monkeys, nobody can deny that DNA is what controls what we are and, well like it or not, we share 98%++ of the same genes as "monkeys".
I think people would be more upset that monkeys ARE our first cousins. But then, I'm upset that my first cousins ARE my first cousins! As they say, "you don't get to pick who your parents are."

You'll be relieved to know then, that we didn't evolve from monkeys.
Monkeys and humans did evolve from a common ancestor though. This probably looked more like a possum than any type of monkey.

Yes, evolution is real.
I can't stand some of my human relatives either, but that doesn't change the facts. They are still my relatives.
Would it help you to know monkeys are very distant cousins? Chimpanzees, which are fellow great apes and not monkeys, are much closer cousins.

Evolution, the change in allele frequencies over time in a population, is an observed fact. The theory of evolution by natural selection is also observed; think of bacterial and viral resistance. The truth does not care what you " can stand " and the truth is true, whether you " can stand " it, or not. If you are ready to learn that truth, go here.
PS The truth does not care about your beliefs, either!!

evolution is true, but not from monkeys to humans, its apes. so scientists discovered the we are 78% ape. The hair on our bodies. apes have hair. apes have real thumbs like us. monkeys are way different than us. and so scientists have no physical evidence that we are direct descendants of apes.

I agree...The monkeys must be angry at the idea of becoming us.
As far as a species standpoint, you cannot find anything with a closer match to humans than monkeys. Sure, it's a good possibility but it's still theory.

nope, creation is the real deal, doesnt it make u feel better to know that u were created in the image of god, instead of randomly appearing here, and coming from protist-like creatures, there is so much evidence for creation, and so many cracks in the evolution theory, its just that people are scared of religion and dont want to hear about, even though there is very real facts and data about it
