The guy was "out there". I mean to take a children's TV character and call it gay simply because it was purple and carried a "purse" (Tinky Winky from Teletubbies), I mean come on, get real!!! People like him scare me; it makes me wonder what direction our world is heading.
To answer your question, I don't have any respect for anyone who uses religion to better themselves financially.
