It was a survival mechanism that our primitive barbaric ancestors used on the savanahs of sub-saharan africa. The 'flight or fright' mechanism was instinctual. Those that survived, ie, 'fled' had fear (generally speaking of course). Over the millenia, it is still a part of our genes.
What does it say about human nature you ask? It still imbedded in our primitive limbic system of our brains. The cerebral cortex, a more recent addition, is the more rational and logical part of our brains. I guess it says there's alway a duality in the way we face challenges. Some revert to the limbic system while others are able to subvert it with logical and rational thinking.
Obsolete genes do not die overnite, so we'll be seeing fear as a part of human nature for some time to come........

The purpose of fear is in biology.. to warn us from doing things which will harm us.
This could prove that the mind and it's emotions are a fabrication to help us exist, but on the other hand - the fear we feel at times outweigh the danger of the threat, or sometimes the threat only endangers our mind.. so we could see it as an evolution of the way we once were- maybe we developed souls.. who knows.

Fear can be helpful, but it can also be harmful. One faces fears many fears in life every day it is reality. Mind control or psychiatry uses it to promote their propaganda and tell you that they can make you safe and also the security industry uses it to sell products. If you live in reality well maybe that is partially so, but not really. Safety is in each of us until it is not.
I was raised not with a locked door system, but a system that said the door was open, but only to the ones that belonged there. I guess that I have been lucky in a lot of ways not to have that kind of fear. Fear breeds fear, but it can be unlearned when it is for the wrong reasons. I think this is probably about right?

It is a function of the primitive brain. There was a time when we had no idea what fire was and how to use it. We were hunted by wild animals and other humanoids too. Fear triggers the fight or flight response. The brain shuts off pain receptors and sends adrenalin through the body. Your respiration changes so the body can carry more oxygen. Basically for a time we become fast, stronger and more alert. It says our nature is to protect ourselves one way or the other. Survival of the fittest.

The purpose of fear is to protect spiritually dead people from harm.
People who are Alive in Spiritual Unity with God Are protected by the light of God's Unconditional Love. They no longer fear. they experience uninterupted Unconditional Love.
Fear is a part of the emotions. Fear has not changed.
Mans environment has evolved and created different things to fear.
The process of creation is still in progress, evolution is the proof of this.

Fear doesn't serve a purpose.
At the most basic level, Lack of control breeds fear.
At first it may seam too simple, but careful examination will show there is a level of lack of control.
It is never changed nor does it soley exist for human nature.
There may be new things that may appear to be catalysts, such as Nuclear war, but boiled down, the fears are the same as before. Fear of death, loss of loved ones, pain etc.
If fear overwhelms the person, all is lost.
Only when fear is controlled is there a chance for survival.

~~~ The purpose of fear is to scare, frighten and devastate and alot more. Bad stuff. Evolution has intensified fear because now we have all kinds of weapons that the Cavemen never dreamed of. And we really like using them. That says ....us humans have a mean streak. ~~~
It's a survival tool. When suddenly confronted with a raging fire in your house, fear tells you to get out. It also tells you to stay away from dangerous animals, leaky boats, the edges of cliffs, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. Without fear you'd walk out onto thin ice in the winter or tease a grizzly bear. You wouldn't live long and therefore wouldn't be able to pass your genes along to the next generation. This is true of all creatures.
I believe fear is the devils work to try and stop us from fullfilling our purpose in life. Evolution has only made it worse because now there is way more things to be afraid of(our government). There is nothing to fear but fear itself and if you stare into the eyes of it and be couragous you will overcome many things! It helps to have God on your side as well!!
Comes from our ancestors.
They lived in the plains of Africa.
They walked to find plant food to eat.
Ran to kill animals for meat.
Occasionally were attacked by large animals.
So fear, and that 10-second run full speed time, kept them alive.
