Why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways? It is what it is.

Bcoz An Apartment is A room or suite of rooms designed as a residence and generally located in a building occupied by more than one household. They all are same like in terms of...area, design, pattern, configuration, formation, Colour Schemes and Outer Looks. They all are having common feautures. So its basically a collection of rooms within a larger building set aside for a particular purpose or person.

Why is it called a freeway, when you pay tolls?
Same as above, why is it parkway, when you drive on it, and why do you park in your driveway?
