how to send I.M. messages to phone with the operator? my friend did it before but i don't remember how he did it. You can send messages from computer then an operator will tell the other person through the phone

I believe you are talking about a service offered to the deaf.

However, what you suggest can be accomplished without an operator. The technology is known as SMS protocol. If the target cel provider were verizonwireless ... you would send an email to (phone #)@vtext.com .... if the target cel provider were tmobile, you would send an email to (phone #)@tmail.net .... contact the target cel provider to determine OR have the target cel phone send you a text message to your email account to learn their SMS address. NOTE: it is best to type your entire message in the subject line. SMS truncates messages after a certain number of characters.
