In my work I have to offset print and letter-set print on plastics.
We use professional inks that are made for printing on plastics, still different kinds are still hard to print on, PVC one of the worst.

So best is to go to a good printer shop/site, or office supplies shop/site or the site of your printer and check if they recommend a kind of plastic sheet for your printer.
The advice of the other answerer for overhead sheets might be the best, but there are so many kinds of plastic on the market.

I have a canon ip3000 and it lets me print on transparency sheets which are used for overhead projectors. Check to see if your printer will print on this and then purchase some from an office supply store. Hope this helps
