You could try a free service online such as that supplied by YouSendIt - http://www.yousendit.com - or MailBigFile - http://www.mailbigfile.com - both can send a file up to 100mb, or larger if you sign up and pay for an account. There are other services that claim to offer this for free: try Googling 'send large file' to find them.

Hope that helps!

Depending on how large it is, you would be best off to place it with a file sharing service on the web, rather than emailing. I usually use Yahoo briefcase to store files to access from different places but there are many other services too.

There are several ways to approach this. What is the size of the file? You could e-mail it to her, either in whole or in parts. You could also save it on a flash drive and mail it to her. Flash drives are coming down in price and if you take your time and search, you can get a 1gb for around $20US. (There are larger flash drives available, so look for discounts on them also.)
Last, what does the term "this would be a one off" exactly mean? I have not heard that one before.

You could use an online file storage service like FlipDrive http://www.flipdrive.com/ . That way you can upload the file from your computer, then in Australia your daughter can download the file to her computer.

I think the best bet would be to burn it to cd or dvd and mail it. FlipDrive.com only offers 25MB of storage at a time so this may take a some time while you upload a set to flipdrive, she downloads it, then you clear flipdrive then upload another set.............etc......otherwise you need to pay for it.

Burn it to disk and mail it with UPS or FedEx and she will get it in a few days.

Otherwise, try connecting via yahoo Messenger and sending them one by one over the messenger service

Mediamax offers 25gb free - upload all the files then you can send your daughter a link to download the files or provide her with the login details - similarly she can upload photos, audio messages etc which you can then download.

Diino offers 2gb free and a drag and drop desktop utility - it has a music player so conceivably you could upload the files to the Diino server and your daughter could listen to them in Australia

i had to send a large file once. if it's more then 100mb you'll have to compress it into 100mb chunks with winrar, becuase i think this site only lets you send 100mb for free. (download from www.download.com rite click on the file and go to add to archive. then in the bottom left just type in the file size, it's in k so 100mb would be 100000000k i think.) then use this to email them to her

think the best, and least effort and time consuming, idea would be to burn to cd/dvd depending on file size and then mailing.

Yes, always have ideas, only if we could read minds as to how large is large.
