USA involvment in what became known as Desert Storm began on August 2, 1990 after Sadam invaded Kuwait and Bush froze Iraq and Kuwait assets as you know, September 11th happened in 2001... Eleven ENTIRE YEARS LATER...so Ron Paul was INCORRECT ... 9/11 occured because an AMERICAN HATING IDIOT CAVE DWELLER decided that all American's must die.... His main reason for hating Americans was that he wanted us to withdraw our SUPPORT to Israel and wanted our service men out of islamic countries....We were supporting Israel at their REQUEST and as far as having bases in Muslim countries, I have a SLIGHT feeling that our bases wouldn't be IN certain countries without the express permission of those COUNTRY's LEADER. So actually what Ben Laden's men came here to do on 9/11 was the blatant un provoked killing of 3000+ innocent men and women at the WORLD TRADE CENTER, PENTAGON and FLIGHT 93... If I remember at the time---EVERYONE had nothing but PRAISE for Rudy Guliani....... it is coming to light NOW that more people are getting sick and/or dying from the AFFECTS of the Trade Center coming down---(lung deseases, heart deseases etc from the ASH that was strewn throughout ground Zero and beyond and the clean up crew and rescue workers who participated in the events following the attacks ).......but to get back to the original question---PRIOR to 9/11 attacks, our forces had been in Israel AND Muslim countries for more then 10 -probably closer to 20 YEARS. ... Ben Laden has been linked to the bombing of the USS Cole AND the 1993 bombing of the World Trade center.... the guy is just a crazy religions fanatic who somehow decided that ALL the US people should be dead. The only person who TRULY knows why Ben Laden attacked NYC and the Pentagon is BEN LADEN HIMSELF....maybe one day he will be captured and tell us all why he REALLY did it????

Back in 1998 the Clinton administration authorized covert operations to overthrow Saddam Hussein and put someone they liked in power.
But of course people in Iraq knew about it, and it caused resentment as naturally it would!
Ron Paul is almost always right on with the truth.
Listen carefully to what he says,
NOT to some blabber-mouth like Hannity or Giuliani.
Giuliani was trying to appeal to all the
"You better fu**in' A believe it" rednecks
who don't care about facts and just want to kill
people in wars.

The media and the other candidates are very threatened by Ron Paul. That's why the attacks are all of sudden getting more and more vicious. They know that he is well liked by a lot of people, and only gaining popularity. He's definitely in their radar right now and they're looking to shoot him down. The media is also happy to do their role by censoring him or portraying him in a very poor light. I don't care. I will still support him. He's the only trustworthy candidate.

I think being in the middle east was a cause of the anger of the perpetrators of 9/11, though not an excuse.
Queen, the U.S. was in the middle east and is in the middle east. We did not enter Desert Storm at the request of KSA. Wow.

I disagree. there are various motives that we are hated by way of Muslims yet i might say "stealing" oil isn't on the checklist. pondering how lots we pay for it (and how prosperous OPEC is) i do no longer think of we are stealing it.

He is right. We would never have had any military presence in Middle East if it wasn't for the oil.
