Has someeone hurt you so bad and turned on you....but after much time...maybe even a year that person regretted what he/she had done to you and called you to apologize? Has this ever happened to you and also do you think that time makes people think and realize what they had done?

Thanks!

Dear MiaMia:

Yes and Yes to both of your questions. However, I don't remember the part about them calling me to apologize (smiling). And to be honest I have more than likely hurt "others" feelings in past years and if I knew this to be so; considering the issue at hand, I would apologize to those I have hurt. Even more so today fully knowing that life is short. To be fortunate today is to have time to re-evaluate our behavior good or bad. I can only hope that there is enough time in my day to make a positive difference.

Best Wishes,

Yes, several people have hurt me. No, very few have apologized- in fact the only one who did was the one who didn't hurt me that badly. A friend once hurt a few of her friends, me included. She never apologized to me but she did try to do it with two people in that group. However she stopped trying after the initial contact with her old friends.

I think time does sometimes allow people to regret what has happened or be sad about it. But unfortunately it usually isn't enough to make them repair any damage they have done. Most of the time it would stay just a vague feeling; it takes incredible character to actually go back and admit you were wrong.

Yes, it's happened to me three times, although it was much less than a year before these people came and spoke to me about it all. I definitely believe that time does have a factor in many things and sometimes it's best to leave things alone for a while. You're welcome.
