Yeah and they could have gotten him had they picked Leinart last year. This years draft was to correct last years mistake. But it had to be done. Calvin Johnson would have been a waste of talent in Oakland without a QB to get him the ball. Kinda how his career is going to go in Detroit.

It's too soon to tell but I have to go with Jamarcus Russell the 6'6" 255 pound beast. Lane Kiffin the Oakland Raiders coach, said that he wants a powerful, explosive offense. I don't know what kind of offense he will put in but explosive and powerful may mean throwing the long ball. With weapons like Randy Moss and Jerry Porter considering they stay, Jamarcus Russell would be a better fit for this offense. Brady Quinn is a great player no doubt but after a mediocre showing in the Sugar Bowl and his withdrawal from the Senior Bowl, he's been slipping. He gotta show what he can do in the NFL Combine and the pro workouts. If Moss is gone though it might trigger a Calvin Johnson pick but as of now I gotta go with Russell.

No. They got a franchise QB to build around. People over look the fact that the Raiders had like the 4th ranked D last year. They just need some help on offense.

Definitely! Especially when they knew they were getting rid of Moss. But they really had to take Jamarcus Russell at QB. Where they really blew it was in not taking Leinart or Cutler LAST year. How anyone thought that Aaron Brooks was the answer at QB is beyond me!

Hell no. Last thing they need is another receiver. They need an offensive line.
