Did you happen to notice what side of the street the mailboxes are on? I'll give you a hint - they aren't in the middle of the road.

Because the mailboxes are on the right side of the street. This makes it easier for the postal workers to put mail in the boxes.

My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that because they drive on the right side of the road, the side closest to the mailboxes/delivery points.

because its easier for them to drive up and deliver male and remain on the right side of the road. if it was on the left hand side they would have to get out and walk around or drive on the wrong side of the road and they are kinda lazy and don't want to do that.
