Not unless the sender requires a signature. We have had more packages left on our doorstep. Actually every time we have used UPS (about 50) they have left them at my door. We may not use them anymore because of it. Last Christmas they left EVERYTHING on my door step. We came home every day to new packages. Thank God we have honest neighbors. We have 3 kids and spent about 1500 just online. What if that stuff would have been stolen????

Unless the package was sent with "signature required", the driver has an option of leaving the package without a signature, deliver it to your neighbors, or leaving you a note for your instructions.
If you are not there and no other options, they will attempt 3 times and then return the package.

My sis sent some of her luggage through UPS and they gave her the option to not have anyone sign for it. They left it on our front stoop, but someone is always home to receive mail and packages.

Not always. Our UPS guy knows us and the neighborhood and leaves the packages outdoors.
Also, you could request that the sender ship the package w/o signature necessary.
