I graduated college in May 2004, and Live in Long Island NY with a Bachelors degree in Communications( Broadcasting and advertising). Since then, I have found it very diificult to find a stable job. I have interviewed with a number of TV stations and agencys and I keep getting told time and time again. " We are looking for someone with a little more education. I graduated with 3.5 GPA and I am woking in a completely different field at the moment to pay the bills. I have been thinking about going back to school to get my Masters Degree. Has anyone went back to school after a few years, or have noticed a change in their job search after completing their Masters??

I graduated in 03 with political science (another useless major) and also found the job search tough sledding. I since went to law school and have certainly had the job market open up for me. If law school isnt your thing, I would still definitely reccomend going back to school, but just a masters in communication might not help that much, specialized degrees are more useful, perhaps an MBA would suit you better, if you are still in love with Communication it may be worth it to you to go all the way and get your PHD in Communications.

Yes, I went back for a masters 4 years after I completed my BA. Three years after I earned my masters, I went back to get a law degree. I earned more money, and had a more responsible, satisfying job after I obtained each degree. It's worth doing.

Yes. In some ways it is easier because of the maturity factor.
