Isn´t he the man best fitted to figth against corruption in poor countries?

Mr. Wolfowitz made the error of promoting his personal friend and lover. That is considered corruption. Whether or not he is well qualified to head the World Bank is quite irrelevant. Corruption is always a good reason to remove someone from a position, regardless of their qualifications.

Mr. Wolfowitz informed Xavier Coll that he should discontinue talks with World Bank legal counsel as to the propriety of his intended actions. Not a real bright thing to do.

because he is a dreamer, a utopian, with no organizational skills and little practical knowledge of economics. "adamantane honesty"?...are you suggesting his qualification is a neutral binding ability?
